Terrarium

My Terrarium:

Materials:
Large (32 oz.) plastic drink bottles, empty **
2 or 3 sm. plants
Fake bugs
Sticks
Small stones
Potting soil

Directions:
Soak the bottle in hot water for a few minutes so you can peel off the label.

Have a parent use a sharp knife or scissors to cut the top off the bottle (about 4" from the cap).

Put a layer of small rocks in the bottom part. Add potting soil over the rocks. Plant your plants in the soil, making sure to press the roots of the plants down. Add more soil around your plants if needed.

Add pretty stones, tiny sticks, and fake bugs around the plants.

Slip the cut edges into the planter to make a dome top.

** This also works well with a large CD package: the large, round plastic kind that multiple (such as 50 or 100) new CD and CD-R come in.
