Sidewalk Chalk Eggs

Sidewalk Chalk Eggs

Ingredients:
3/4 cup warm water
1-1/2 cups Plaster of Paris (toxic in the powder form, non-toxic in it's mixed form)
3 tablespoons powdered tempera paint in your favorite color
Jell-O egg molds
A funnel or basting bulb

Directions:
Using a sturdy mixing bowl, add the water. Add the Plaster of Paris to the water a little at a time, stirring as you go. Mix until well blended. Add the paint and blend well.

Make sure the mold is closed then pour the mixture in through the hole on top of the egg. Gently tap the sides of the egg to allow the plaster to settle, then add more until it is full.

They will take a couple of days to set and dry. Once dry, remove the chalk from the molds and store in a used egg container.

*Children should always be supervised when preparing or cooking in the kitchen.
