Growing a Shamrock

Growing a Shamrock

Materials:
Standard kitchen sponges, clean and unused
Sprout seeds (for people to eat)
OR
Catnip seeds (for the cat to eat)
OR
Grass seeds (for the pet rodent)
Shallow dish

Directions:
Cut shamrock shapes out of the sponges. Soak them in warm water then set them in the shallow bowl.

Sprinkle the seeds over the top of them and set the bowl in a warm place, out of direct sunlight.

Once the seeds sprout, move the bowl into a sunny place and sprinkle with water to keep the sponge from drying out.

Once the plants have grown, they can be eaten (NOT the sponge) or fed to the appropriate pet, depending on the type of seed you used.
