Christy and Powderpuff

Christie was a little girl that lived with her mother and father in a big apartment in San Francisco. She had many friends but she always dreamed of living in the country so that she would be able to have a pet.

Then one day her Grandpa and Grandma came to visit. They had a big box with a bow on top. When Christie opened the box there was a sweet little white Persian kitten. She was so excited she grabbed it out of the box and held it close. Her Mom and dad said "That is so nice, but we will have to ask the landlord if it is OK." Her Mom asked her. "Well, what are you going to call your new friend?" Christie said, "It looks like the powderpuff on your dresser Mom. So, I will call her Powderpuff."

The landlord said it would be all right. So from that day on Christie and Powderpuff spent every minute together. Christie took her to meet all of her friends. Also, she took her to school for "Show and Tell." Her teacher thought she was very cute.

Then one day her father told Christie they would be moving to the country. He was going to be managing a ranch. On the ranch they had horses, cows, pigs and chickens.

When they arrived at the ranch, Christie was so excited to see all of the animals. But poor Powderpuff was scared of all of the big animals. She was also afraid that Christie would forget about her. But Christie lover Powderpuff so much that she would never choose the other animals besides her.

So they lived on the ranch. And though she had her favorite horse, she was closer to Powderpuff and loved her so much. Powderpuff grew to love the other animals to.
